	Outpost Sales Specialist Posted: 05/14/24 Transition Bicycles is looking to add to our Outpost team. We encourage anyone interested in mountain biking and contributing to an amazing team and community to apply for this position. You will act as the face of Transition Bikes and will be many people's first interaction with the brand. Your main responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service while creating a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere for all who visit. You will work directly with customers, offering them knowledge about our company, history, local trails, and general bike knowledge. You'll be expected to collaborate with everyone within the company, assisting in promoting events, organizing and leading group rides, all while embodying the company’s ethos. Our aim is always to cultivate a culture that is humble, relatable, approachable, inclusive, and, above all, enjoyable for everyone. Job Duties Provide information about Transition Bikes Perform opening and closing duties Help customers with general sales Setup and assist customers with Demo bikes and new bikes Tend the bar and serve alcohol and bar snacks to customers Assist in stocking, labeling, organizing, merchandising, and other inventory-related tasks Monitor and respond to emails and phone calls Help maintain the Demo fleet by cleaning and preparing demo bikes Build new bikes for the showroom floor and customers Communicate with customers about repairs and the status of work orders Requirements and Qualifications: Passion for bikes and a positive, collaborative attitude that puts the team and other riders first 1+ Years experience working in a bike shop is preferred 3+ Years experience in retail sales is preferred Vast knowledge of mountain bikes, components, and accessories Ability to work weekends Passion for bikes and a positive, collaborative attitude that puts the team and other riders first. Good organizational skills and the ability to keep a clean and tidy environment Excellent communication skills Must have, or be eligible to earn, a valid M.A.S.T permit to serve Alcohol (Must be 21) Must live in, or be willing to relocate to, Bellingham, WA.
