Rampage 2024 First Hits
October 10, 2024

Red Bull Rampage is synonymous with massive airtime, deadly exposure, and the gnarliest riders on earth, but you wouldn't know that from seeing Talus Turk on the hill, who's just having some fun with friends. Check out our first hits video with Talus as he works his way down his line in preparation for the big show!

Talus is our hometown hero, hailing from Bellingham, WA but he is no stranger to the desert. This will be his second time competing in the event after last year's breakout performance landing him in 5th place.

Talus's steed of choice.

His custom bike pays homage to his dad, Carter Turk, who was a pro snowboarder in the 80s. His claim to fame is being the first person to double backflip a snowboard in a video. The paint job is reminiscent of the GNU snowboards his dad sent down mountains, so it's only fitting that Talus would carve his own line down the Virgin, UT slopes aboard this one-of-a-kind TR11.

Rampage is a team sport. Talus chose his close friends and fellow freeriders, Torsenn Brown and Ryan McNulty, to help craft his line.

After some hard days of digging, Talus got straight to business ticking off his biggest features.

Talus launching a flat spin one foot can way up high on the ridge after only a few warmup hits.

Talus isn't one to leave things to chance, and practices all his moves before the event. That includes spinning the start drop and flipping a massive stepdown at the top of the course.

As the sun sets on the final day of practice, we are more stoked than ever to see all the riders drop in on the big day. Check back HERE to see how Talus's 2nd Red Bull Rampage goes!
